"Yurii Taran (Taran Construction) re-tiled my fireplace hearth. The prepping process involved 1) removing old, damaged tile that had been murdered on top of an older generation of brick and the surrounding wood floor, 2) Installing a new subfloor, Including a new support beam beneath it, and 3) adding a layer of concrete on top of a concrete pad that had supported the old brick. And then cutting and installing the tile. Yurii‘s work is meticulous, highly skilled, very solid, and the new tile is perfectly flush with the floor. It’s a beautiful job. I highly recommend him."
